General Instructions

Applicants will need to register for an account before submitting an application. We recommend you read through all the instructions, then click on Register at the top of the page if you need to create an account.  Please note that it may take up to 1 business day for your registration to be approved and active. 

Each permit will require the applicant to complete the information fields and upload copies of the necessary documentation (i.e. plans, affidavit, etc).  The links under Details will identify the requirements. Please ensure you have all the required information and documents ready to upload prior to beginning the online application process. Applications that are submitted without the required documentation may delay the review process or cause the application to be rejected.

Application Instructions

Prior to submitting the application via our online portal, it is highly recommended that you first download the corresponding PDF Application (for reference only).  This document will provide you with the information needed to prepare relevant documentation prior to successful online submittal.

All Building Permit applications must include plans that meet the following applicable codes: 2021 IBC, 2021 IRC, 2021 IECC, 2021 IEBC, 2021 IMC, 2021 IFGC, 2021 UPC, 2020 NEC, 2021 ISPSC, and 2021 IWUIC. 

All Building Permit applications must include a signed Affidavit. The form can be downloaded HERE.

To find the appropriate permit application, you may use the Search Box below.  You can search by permit type or permit use and the system will filter accordingly.  Once you have prepared the necessary information and documentation, click the "Apply Online" link for the required permit.

Applicants

When logged in, you can view any permit applications you previously submitted by going to My Dashboard - My Permits menu section.  However, the system only displays applications submitted under that specific login/email address that was used to create the application.
If all employees of the contracting company need to view and update all permits submitted on behalf that company, you must use a generic email address such as permits@company_name.com or similar. For existing records, the most common approach is for your employees to share the existing access email and login.
